I love that @adidas is bringing back these classic preds. Great move to compete against the @Nikefootball onslaught of new boots like the Magista. These were my jams back in the day and looks like I will be making a new purchase.

Instinct Takes Over. #predatorinstinct

Peeped this straight on the pages of hypebeast.

"Next up from adidas Skateboarding‘s Skate Copa collection comes a version specially made for French tech wizard Lucas Puig. The short-sleeved jersey comes as a follow-up to last week’s collaborative release with Palace, though this time celebrates the success of Les Bleus with Lyon-originated Cliché Skateboards. The silhouette itself is a remake of  France’s 1998 kit – the year they took the World Cup home – paying homage to team legend Zinedine Zidane with its number. Designed for uninhibited street performance, the shirt features 3-stripe taping, a flat-knit rib collar, and a body with wicking interlock fabric. Pick up this release from Cliché and adidas Skateboarding here now for a cool $50 USD.”

The designer in me likes this boot because it has a beautiful aesthetic. Hard to argue that. The colors and silhouette are dope. However, the similarities between this boot and Nike’s Flyknit collection are no bueno. If you’re gonna bring the business you gotta be original. I have nothing but love for the 3 stripes but this is not the best idea.

The first true knitted fit. Innovation with ultimate flex. The adidas Samba Primeknit

@adidas was first to adopt a soccer boot silhouette for a skate shoe. We spotted these bad boys over at Hypebeast. Our only question, why the Lax net?

I live for this stuff. Seeing the final product is cool but what is more appealing is the process of getting there. The sketches are where it’s at. You can see the evolution and more importantly the thought and solution oriented approach that all designers must take when designing a product. DOPE!

The inspiration behind the design of the Samba f50s new technology and stud configuration.

For those of us in our mid 30’s and beyond, owning a pair of Copas was the shit and at $100, a high end boot at the time. I had to wait until college to own a pair so the Beckenbauer Ligas got me through my High School days.

Iconic. Timeless. The limited edition White Copa Mundial.

Great video of a collaboration between Adidas and Wood Wood around FC Copenhagen’s 3rd kit. Love to see these types of collaborations especially when done well. Adidas is ahead of the curve.
